《紐約時報》描述中提琴家李捷琦的演出是「沒有瑕疵的演奏技巧，配合有自信的音樂才華及可圈可點的演奏天份」。他曾經在Lionel Tertis、William Primrose等國際中提琴比賽都得到極高獎項，更是Concert Artists Guild 比賽五十年來，第一位年紀最輕的得獎者。在這場李捷琦與國臺交團員的室內樂音樂會中，除了古典大師與浪漫派巨擘的鋼琴重奏曲外，由中提琴界泰斗浦林洛斯改編自帕格尼尼第二號小提琴協奏曲的《鐘》(中提琴與鋼琴版)，除了是古典名曲外，更是超技的精采傑作。西班牙作曲家圖利納：《安達路西亞風景》獨特的六重奏組合，瀰漫著濃濃的伊比利風情，兩首深情迷人的小品-龐賽：《小星星》與艾爾加：《愛的禮讚》，由中提琴與鋼琴來表現，別有一番風味。中提琴禮讚，讓你迷戀李捷琦的中提琴魅力。
Violist Scott Lee’s playing was described by New York Times as “flawless technical resources combined with an assured sense of musicianship, a remarkable and auspicious talent.” He has received extremely high honors in the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and the William Primrose Viola Competition. What’s more, he won the 1996 Concert Artists Guild Competition as the youngest winner in the competition’s five decades of history. The concert, in addition to a trio and two quartets by Classical and Romantic giants, will feature “La Campanella” for viola and piano adapted by eminent violist William Primrose from Niccolo Paganini’s Violin Concerto No.2. A classic piece, “La Campanella” is an amazing showcase of musical dexterity. “Scene Andalouse” for viola, piano, and string quartet by Joaquin Turinai is a sextet of unique and rich Iberian flavors. Another two enchanting pieces—“Estrellita” by M. M. Ponce and “Salut d'Amore” by Edward Elgar—were written for viola and piano, creating a different feel for tonight’s chamber concert.
